Gerber Center for Infant Development and Nutrition

Whether seeking answers to unexpected symptoms or faced with a known diagnosis, uncertainty about your child's future can be overwhelming. The Gerber Center for Infant Development and Nutrition can help. We are dedicated to providing the answers you need and real hope for your child's future, close to home.

Our primary focus is on children from birth to age 3, and our goals are to:

• Provide state-of-the-art diagnostic and treatment programs
• Advocate for patients and families
• Educate patients, families, residents, medical students and medical staff
• Promote each child's maximum growth and development

Services
Once your child has been referred to us, we will work with you within one or more of our dedicated areas of neurodevelopmental practice:

Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics Clinic helps children with health challenges such as prematurity, developmental delays or nutrition problems by offering evaluation and treatment recommendations from our specialists.

Infant Progress Clinic provides screening services for children who were previously cared for in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and children who meet specific criteria that place them at risk for developmental delay.

Multidisciplinary Developmental Pediatric Clinic will care for your child when developmental issues are accompanied by significant medical problems. This team primarily works with cerebral palsy, genetic syndromes, metabolic diseases or a history of neonatal risk factors. Our caring physicians, pediatric nurse practitioners, occupational and physical therapists, care facilitators, speech-language pathologists, registered dietitians and behavioral psychologists bring together every aspect of care and knowledge to provide optimal outcomes for your child-and your family.

Intensive Feeding Clinic for comprehensive evaluation and management of swallowing and feeding disorders. We offer treatment programs both in and out of the hospital for children with significant feeding refusal.

This center was made possible through a generous gift from The Gerber Foundation.
